Embassy Apartments is a 41-home affordable housing community in Shreveport that provides quality housing for low-income households, with a focus on serving veterans. Through the substantial rehabilitation of a two-story garden-style apartment community originally built in the early 1960s, RNDC preserved an important housing resource while creating modern, comfortable homes for residents.
The redevelopment improved the property’s quality, safety, and long-term sustainability, ensuring that veterans and other residents have access to stable, affordable housing in a well-established neighborhood with convenient access to employment, healthcare, transportation, and community services.
The redevelopment was financed through a combination of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Federal Home Loan Bank funding.
