Benoit Townhomes is a 78-home workforce housing community in Lake Charles that provides quality, attainable housing for moderate-income families. The development was financed through a combination of 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), 45L Energy Efficient Home Credits, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) PRIME-2 funding, and a HUD Section 221(d)(4) mortgage. The project demonstrates RNDC’s ability to leverage innovative financing tools to deliver high quality, energy-efficient housing that serves the evolving needs of the communities it supports.
